Unity Tutorial 02

  I have just completed the Unity Tutorials for this week. I really enjoyed them and felt I learned quite a lot. I started with Lesson 1.4 which was the last lesson I needed to complete my car game. It was so nice to work towards the final project over last week and today. When I first started the Unity tutorials I thought I would never get the hang of it but today after finishing a basic game I feel confident in going forward and designing my own game as part of the project for this semester. I found the last lesson easy enough, the videos were short and I liked how the coding was also written underneath the videos. I found downloading the tutorial materials easy too and everything was laid out very well.

After I finished lesson 1.4 I saved the car game (after making sure it worked by playing it for a while ;) )I got started on the Challenge part of this week’s tutorial. I have to say when I started this challenge and realised there was no help given only hints I got a bit worried! But between the hints, looking back on coding from the car game & getting a bit stressed I eventually got it working. I was so happy when I watched the video to see what it should look like at the end and mine looked the exact same!! This time last week I definitely wouldn’t have thought I could have achieved this. I really enjoyed this week’s Unity Tutorial and after getting feedback on my game designs today also I am excited to progress with my own game and see what the outcome will be !
